Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the main group to begin their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might look mismatched, but the events of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then cleared his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each member has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to kill the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team reach locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.
